Reset and redefine.
When we’re young, we play. Then, at some point, we start working, working, working toward the goals that our culture has set for us: professional success, families, status, homes, health. Still, after reaching these goals, so many people feel unfulfilled. Purposeless. Anxious. Trapped.
Caught in the game that isn’t all we were told it would be. And these feelings can obliterate our gratitude for everything that’s going well in our lives, leaving us feeling aimless and depressed, which, in turn, can negatively impact just about every aspect of our lives and the people in them.
If you are motivated to challenge yourself in meaningful ways, this work can be a catalyst for personal transformation–a different way of being in yourself, in your family, in your work, in the world. Therapy isn’t magic. It’s being honest with yourself in the presence of a person who can help you see things more clearly and who can offer you new skills and strategies to undo some of the detrimental habits that modern life can trick us into adopting.
I may be the therapist you’re looking for. I believe that a good therapist is a guide–someone who can help you navigate complicated feelings and vulnerabilities so that you can grow. For me, this work is inspiring. I love helping people redefine their ambitions and giving them a safe place to explore the emotions, behaviors, and thought patterns that are keeping them stuck.
